Spiced Rice


2 cups brown rice          
½ medium onion
½ tsp of cumin seeds
1 stick of cinnamon
3 cardamom pods
4 cloves

Serves: 4 

2 dried bay leaves 
1 star-anise
4 black peppercorns 
1 tbsp olive oil 
5 almonds

Let's cook

  1. Chop onions finely. 

  2. Heat your olive oil in saucepan in a medium heat and fry the onions until golden. 

  3. Add all the spices. 

  4. Wash and rinse the rice and add to the saucepan with 4 cups of water. Put a lid on the pan and cook on a medium heat for about 25 minutes. 

  5. Fry your almonds without oil for 4 minutes. 

  6. Sprinkle the almonds over your rice.
