Research Assistants

Esther graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from University College London (UCL) and with a Masters degree in Public health (Global health stream) from Imperial College London.


She is currently undertaking her PhD and works as a qualitative researcher within BARC. Her PhD is focused on the prevention of gestational diabetes (EMmY study), evidence synthesis on the screening and diagnosis of gestational diabetes. Prior to joining BARC in 2017, Esther has been involved in the design and implementation of public health interventions in Africa.

Melonie splits her time as a Data Manager for Barts Health NHS Trust  and as an Administrative Assistant  for the BARC Unit.


Melonie has three years of multifaceted experience in Women’s Health Research from recruitment, sample processing, data entry, and study setup and maintenance
