Chicken Korma

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts, diced

     (500g approx. in total)
1 tbsp olive oil                      

25g chopped fresh ginger  

1 large onion finely sliced       
1 clove of garlic
½ tsp cumin 
2 medium-sized tomatoes

Serves: 4​

400g low-fat yoghurt 
1 tsp red chilli powder
Pinch of salt
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
4 cloves

Preparation

  1. Fry the onion gently in oil until golden then remove from the pan.

  2. Add the chicken pieces, ginger and garlic and cook until browned.

  3. Add salt, chopped tomatoes, chilli, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, cloves and cumin.

  4. Cook for a further 10 minutes.

  5. Mix the cooked onion in the yoghurt and add the mixture to the chicken.

  6. Cook for 5 minutes over a low heat.

  7. Cover the saucepan and cook for a further 5 minutes.
