Chard and Spinach Sautéed


1 kg spinach
2 chard leaves
250g ham 
1 spring onion

Serves: 4 

2 cloves of garlic
Olive oil 
Salt & pepper to taste


  1. Wash the leaves. Remove the stems and cut into strips. Cook in boiling salted water for 12-15 minutes. Drain well.

  2. Chop the onion and garlic finely. Sauté the onion and garlic in a heavy pan, with oil. When they start to turn brown, add the ham, spinach and chard to the pan and cook gently for 4-5 minutes.

  3. If the vegetables dry out, add a little water. Serve hot.
