Bhuna Fish Steaks

Ingredients:

4 150g fish steaks e.g. cod
1 tbsp olive oil

Serves: 4​

½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp mustard powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp olive oil

For the marinade:

2.5 cm grated fresh ginger
2 cloves of garlic 
1 tsp garam masala 
½ tsp ground cumin

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl to make a paste. Add a little water if needed.

  2. Cover the fish steaks on both sides with the marinade and leave to stand for 15 minutes.

  3. Preheat the grill. Drizzle a little oil over the fish and grill for 6 minutes.

  4. Turn the steaks over, drizzle with the remaining oil and cook the other side.

  5. Serve with salad and wholegrain bread.
