Eleanor Barry
Statistician
Eleanor is a statistician currently working in the Women’s Health department in the Centre for Public
Health & Policy.
She has recently completed her PhD at the University of Bath investigating a possible causal impact of Systemic
Sclerosis on cancer, with an emphasis on prevalent cohorts. From this, she has a background in
survival analysis, case-control studies, left-truncated data, and causal inference. Eleanor's PhD was based in the SAMBa CDT (Statistical Applied Mathematics at Bath Centre of Doctoral Training)and she comes from a mathematics background, with an MRes as part of the
CDT and a MMath undergraduate degree from the University of Exeter.
She has enjoyed tutoring for many years, particularly statistics and data analytics.
